Privacy Policy
Draft for review · September 8, 2026
Tellan is designed to help parents provide thoughtful, age-appropriate guidance to children through text messages. This policy explains the information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices available to parents.
Information we collect
When a parent or legal guardian requests access, we may collect the parent’s name and email address, each child’s first name and mobile number, consent records, delivery information, and communications sent to our support address.
How we use information
We use this information to evaluate pilot requests, obtain and document parental authorization, deliver Tellan messages, send parent recaps and service notices, provide support, protect the service, and comply with legal obligations.
Children’s privacy and parental control
A parent or legal guardian must enroll a child. Tellan does not ask children to submit personal information through the website. Parents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child’s information, revoke consent, or stop future collection by contacting us.
Mobile information
We will not sell or share mobile information, text-message opt-in data, or consent with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. We may use service providers that help us operate and deliver Tellan messages, and we require them to use information only to provide those services.
Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above and apply reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
Reply STOP to end text messages. Parents may also email info@gettellan.com to review or delete information, revoke permission, or ask a privacy question.
Changes
We may update this policy as Tellan develops. We will post the effective date and provide any notice required by law.
